Philosophy Ice

- General Manager Manfred Fink
That ice rinks – regardless if they are permanently installed or mobile – can only function with energy input is indisputable. Even sound and light units in stadiums and arenas need energy – in most cases more energy than an ice rink. Sport events and other shows are not only important parts of our society, they bring with them an enormous economic return. Since we are people of the industrial age and cannot deny our dependence upon technical achievements, we dare not look back but rather forward and optimize our reserves and sustain their usage.
We at AST know that ice rinks are built and marketed without us. But we also know that we are aware of our responsibility over against the environment to go one step further than the others. We constantly optimize our products and processes to keep up with the State of the Art and live up to environmental standards. Of course we reveal where and how we use energy but also how we acquire it ecologically.
As market and innovation leader in Europe in the area of artificial ice rinks based on the absorber technology, we are well known (since 1986 located in Tyrol) for our competence and know-how in development and manufacturing.
Ice, we can!
