Additional AST Products

In addition to the already well-known main areas of AST items, there are still other AST products which we wish to mention here. It is quite interesting what we also offer:

Ice Bar
AST Ice Bars can be found in Lech am Arlberg, in the Europa Park in Rust as well as in the Savoy Hotel in Scharm El Sheik. A true sensation!

Ice Walls
For exhibitions, expositions and even for the Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan and the Expo 2010 in Shanghai AST Ice Walls were constructed, delivered and installed. The element “ice” is an attraction!

Ice sculptures
An artist creates a figure, a refrigeration technician constructs the pipework and AST delivers the suitable ice technology.

Snow Cooling
With AST’s absorber technique, snow areas, which can be affected by warm temperatures, are secured from melting. This is the case with a ski slope in front of a children’s hotel in Lermoos, Tirol. Entire cross-country courses can be equipped with an AST snow cooling system. This product is also interesting for ski lifts in the spring season, since the entrance area can be secured from melting when the increasing warming effects of the sun threaten ski operation.

Ski Jump Refrigeration
This option protects the snow surface on the jump track. The snow and competition conditions remain the same for all competitors throughout the competition as well as safeguarding the organizers.

Artificial Turf Heating
The excellent thermal attributes of the AST absorber are optimally suited for the heating of artificial turf. Specially developed EPDM heat mats are laid under the turf surface. The minimum installation depth of approx. 6mm allows for heating at low circulation temperatures. The field responds quickly to the thermal change and is extremely energy efficient.

Ice Slides
Ice slides are very simple to build. The wood base construction is assembled and covered with AST Ice Mats. Refrigeration unit is connected and the slide is sprayed with water. Your ice rink then gains an additional attraction – an AST Ice Slide!

Monte Carlo was transformed into a breathtaking winter sport location with ice skating surfaces, iced slides and igloos!
